Bad Nomad is the raw, genre-defying alter ego of Joshua Jandreau — a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist reclaiming his voice after a decade in hiding.

As a teenager, Jandreau found early musical success until a devastating public performance shattered his confidence and drove him underground. He retreated into the world of classical music, building a polished public persona as a composer while secretly writing hundreds of songs in private.

Over the years, the tension between his outward success and inner creative life became unbearable. In 2018, he stepped back into the spotlight with Bad Nomad’s first live performance in over a decade — a cathartic moment that marked the beginning of his artistic rebirth.

Blending indie rock, jazz, folk, and experimental electronic sounds, Bad Nomad’s music dives headfirst into themes of anxiety, isolation, and emotional dissonance. His haunting vocals and unfiltered songwriting refuse to fit in any box.

Armed with a camera, a DIY spirit, and an imaginary band of misfits, Bad Nomad is not just making music., he’s on a journey to reconnect with himself and to help others feel less alone along the way.
