Bad Wire is the creation of Swedish multi-instrumentalist Oskar Persson.
In 2013, after not being accepted to any of the music schools he had applied for, a 19-year old Oskar left his small home town, moved to Stockholm and took a 9-5 job as an office assistant. Whilst filing papers and sorting invoices into binders, a phrase appeared in the young clerks vacant mind. Hiding in the office's archive, surrounded by files and boxes (good sound absorption), the first Bad Wire song was recorded on a mobile phone. "The moment passed while focus set.." became the first line of the song Hole/Mine.

The music came across Mats Björke (ex Mando Diao) and his partners at the Lab259 Studio in Stockholm. Mutual fondness was immediate and a collaboration was commenced. The EP ’As For Now’ was recorded and co-produced by artist and sound engineer @Zebastian Swartz. Analog guru Sven Johansson tape mastered the songs at his ”Fashionpolice Studios”.

The music of Bad Wire is zealously composed but embraces the mistakes and the glitches. A bad phone line where single words fall out. An homage to misunderstandings and how they make communication difficult but also much more interesting.
