Badmon Ken is an artist-producer originally from Atlanta, Georgia who now resides in New York. His sound and style are not contained by labels or trends, due to his upbringing around music and a wide range of tastes. He says that his dad would bring him to the studio during recording sessions, and as a result, he naturally grew into writing raps and freestyling to instrumentals.
His philosophy on making music is simple; to make music that he enjoys listening to. Though he was raised in Atlanta, his sound draws for all corners of hip-hop and rap, from booming trap beats to bouncy west coast basslines and Dancehall rhythms. He began producing in high school before learning that producers upload beats to YouTube, but decided to practice and learn to produce for himself.
With 2018 winding down to an end, he’s hard at work setting up to release his debut album, which he says he’s been working on for almost two years, and while it will feature other producers, he’s working to produce the majority of the album. Without have a release date set, his eyes are set on a December release while back home in Atlanta.
