Bag Lady was originally a recording side project for Trevor O'Connor's (Dr Scientist) twangier side, but after finishing the record in NJ and then moving out to Austin, TX he met Billy Boswell (Gasoline Boots). The pair began to play duo acoustic/electric gigs and realized they had something country/funky/rockin/twangy but mostly fun.
It then became clear that a band needed to be formed to take this party to bigger stages. Chris Trafton (Willy McGee , Jai Malano) was added on drums and Andy Tenberg (Tomar and the Fcs) on bass. The quartet began to play around town developing a reputation for musicianship, jams and a helluva party.
"Bag Lady" was the first single released, which sheds light on the whole mystery of the band name itself, followed by "Disaster" which showed the bands funkier side. Bag Lady's debut LP "Lullabies & Goodbyes" is slated to be released on May 31st, 2019.
