Bah-Bah Genesis

Bah-Bah Genesis is an alternative rock band based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Their music covers a wide variety of genres, including jazz-rock, jazz fusion, alternative rock, math-rock, post-rock, trip-hop, funk, progressive rock, bossa nova, samba, ambient, and more!

Founded in 2021 by drummer Artem Yelisieiev and bassist Nazar Danylchuk, these international relationship majors quickly bonded over the same music tastes and started quickly making music together. With time, guitarist Illia Kabanov and singer Iryna Andriienko joined, contributing greatly to the sound of the band. Nazar Danylchuk announced his departure from the band in 2022, but he still contributes as and band advisor to this day, with bassist Andrii Bondarenko replacing him and staying as a permanent bass player, also adding a lot of flavor to their already existing repertoire by shaping the band’s sound.

On the 26th of January, 2024, the band released their first single "Confession", created amid the russian invasion of Ukraine. The track blends genres like progressive rock, jazz-rock, alternative rock, and bossa nova seamlessly. The single was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Soundplant Studios in Kyiv, Ukraine.
