Bakio is a Spanish rock act from Getxo (Vizcaya), founded by Jaime Losada in 2017. Inspired by the likes of the Beatles, The Jayhawks and Wilco, Bakio first started playing in the same old practicing room where the seminal Spanish indie rock band of the 90’s El inquilino comunista used to play back when it was formed. Including Jaime Losada (songwriting, guitar, vocals), Oscar Solís (bass), Eunate Mirones (drums) and Alberto Trigueros (keyboards), the project soon developed and lead to the recording of “79”. Neatly recorded between January and December 2020 at Sweet Saúl Music Recording Suit studio in Sopelana and produced by Saúl Santolaria and Jaime Losada, the album consists of 10 mature songs including a variety of elegant melodies and rythms enhanced by the special collaborations of, among others, Eduardo Guzmán (McEnroe) and Miguel Guzmán (Zodiacs, Tulsa). It was finally released in March 2021.
