Balance Lost is the ongoing project of Pete Glover from the Medway Towns in England, currently based in Kyoto, Japan. From stepping out from the shadow of Pete's former band, Carpetburn, with the 2010 release of debut album Action!, Balance Lost has continued to shift from indie-rock to more electronic and sample-based songs. Owing as much to early nineties hip-hop and synthwave as the guitar-based music of their formative years, Balance Lost's primary currency is pop hooks.

The love of genre-hopping has borne fruit in the form of hip-hop side project White Privilege's 2018 album, On The Scrounge Again, and the electronic instrumental off-shoot Tron Air.
