A sparkling pop band, BANDCALLEDBEACH is a bubbly blend of buoyant, breezy beats and bold bass.
It’s composed of California born singer-songwriter, Asher Witkin and Hannover native, Jonas Sercombe of The Planetoids.
Asher and Jonas met at Popakademie in Mannheim, Germany in 2021. They’ve been writing together ever since.
Asher began his career in music performing with some of the biggest acts in the world. He’s sang with Coldplay, Daveed Diggs, Alexander Rybak, Woody Goss, and recorded vocals for Kehlani.
Jonas is the lead singer for The Planetoids, a disco inspired pop band with regular performances all around the world. He has produced songs with and for a diverse range of artists, and is one of the founders of Pubic Hair Records.
BANDCALLEDBEACH is what happens when you were just a little too young to live through the 80s, but aren’t quite satisfied with leaving those sonic years behind. It’s what happens when you take a singer-songwriter and give him a glittering, purple stratocaster.
