Banisher was formed by Hubert Więcek (DIETH, ex-Acid Drinkers live, ex-Decapitated) in Rzeszów, Poland in 2005. Their versatile music might be described as diverse modern death metal, musically mature and technically advanced yet with groovy and catchy riffing, intense drums, and aggressive, furious vocals. Inspired by dreams and nightmares, the thought-provoking lyrics reflect various emotions and create an oneiric atmosphere, full of bewilderment, fright, despair and anger.
The current powerful lineup includes members and ex-members of bands such as Decapitated, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Belphegor, Vital Remains and Hate.
Their last album, “Degrees of Isolation”, was released by Selfmadegod Records in 2020. Currently, the band is promoting two new singles released in 2023, while working on their 5th album, coming in 2024.
