Contemporary solo piano with an occasional touch of improvisation, Barb’s compositions offer a unique twist on today’s solo piano sound. Her technical command and deep musical expressiveness on the piano is evident in both her compositions and musical interpretations. As a contemporary improviser, this element adds a freshness and a true “unique” performance quality for her listeners.
Her formal education includes Graduate Studies in Piano Performance. Notable teachers include the Grammy Award winning Classical pianist Angelin Chang as well as the late great jazz pianist Neal Creque.
Over the years she has held various Music Director and Performer positions. As a piano teacher, her students have went on to pursue piano studies at the collegiate level and have competed in various Piano events in the United States on the national level.
