Barbora Mochowa is a Czech singer, pianist, and songwriter. Her music is known for its dreamy yet grand atmosphere. She often draws inspiration from the cosmos and from symbolist paitings of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing to life mythical beings like fairies, will-o’-the-wisps, and water spirits in a modern context.
In 2016, she released her debut album Waiting for the White Raven, which earned her 2nd place in the Discovery of the Year category in the Žebřík Music Awards public poll.
She reached a broader audience in 2019 when she took part in the Czech national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song True Colors, which led in YouTube views. A year later, she returned to Eurovision with White & Black Holes, a track that won 1st place from the international jury.
Her latest album Will-o’-the-Wisp, created in collaboration with leading producer Viliam Béreš, was released in November 2023. For this album, she was nominated in the Discovery category at the 2023 Anděl Awards.
