Barely Tall’s music comes from a backyard garden shed in an old neighborhood next to the train tracks and is inspired by the sounds of unwanted and outdated technology. Broken VCR’s, garage sale synthesizers, and thrifted sound machines often stumble their way into the songs, revealing a hidden beauty in the mistakes and shortcomings that got them lost in the first place.
To parallel these soundscapes, Barely Tall’s debut album - “Oh.” - circles around a place of seeing one’s own brokeness, insignificance, and the pains of healing.
