The story of this album begins where the previous one 'Cold Smoke' left off, led by the desire to string songs together like the sequences in Jonas Mekas's 'Walden'.
An album recorded between Paris and Rouen, mixed in London, with the help of many strong friends and a faithful drum machine and, in the distance, the echoes of Lee Perry and Alan Vega which remind us how pleasant it is to transform gold into lead.
Barthélémy “Barth” Corbelet is a French singer-songwriter. In addition to
his five (soon to be re-issued) solo albums under the name Barth, he’s behind
the duo Bosco Rogers, wrote most of the songs on Hollie Cook’s first two albums, and recently
collaborated with Axel Concato on the debut album by Bolbec ‘Victime de
l’Aube’ out on Batov Records.
Like Cavemen Do is Barth’s new album, set to be released on 24th January 2025 on Cavemen Songs and on vinyl via Funk Night Records.
