Basem Darwisch

Basem Darwisch is an Egyptian German Composer , Producer and Oud Virtuoso. He is known as the ambassador for the Egyptian music in Germany. He is one of the most recommended Egyptian music experts in Europe with his long experience as music Consultant , Producer and Composer . The Music of Basem is a Mixture of jazz harmonies, arabo Nubian melodies and traditional rhythms with an unique subtle improvisation style. Basem worked with famous world and JAZZ musicians worldwide, performed Concerts at Frankfurt Alte Oper , Elbphilharmonie Hamburg , Prinzregententheater Munich , crystal cathedral Los Angeles , Berlin Philharmonie , Cairo Opera House , Kuwait , Abou Dhabi , Milan and Rome .in 2009 he founded the famous project 'Al Muled & Al Milad 'المولد و الميلاد where he is merging between Sufi and Coptic music along with Classics and Jazz elements. The Project is one of the most successful music projects in Egypt with annual concerts at Cairo Opera House.
He produced many sound tracks for Movies ,TV Channels and famous tracks for the Nubian Megastar Mohamed Mounier , the Algerian Singer Souad Massi and Sufi Stars Sheikh Ehab Younis & Ali El Helbawi as well as for the famous arabic Gospel Singers Fadia Bazzi , and Maher Fayez.
Basem Darwisch is the founder of the well known Egyptian German band Cairo Steps in 2002.
