Basir Akbari is a guitarist from Iran. He moved to Vienna in 2016 to further his studies in music, with a special focus on fine-tuning his guitar skills. After awhile, he delved into Jazz and discovered artists like Jim Hall, Pat Metheny, and Herb Ellis, only to mention a few. In addition to his previous influences, such as David Gilmour, Basir discovered a whole new musical world of sophistication and creativity, which went on to inspire his musicianship. His debut showcases his improvisation skills, melodic approaches, and groove. With influences ranging from Electronic to Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, Blues, and Jazz, he used a clean amp and guitar synthesizer to create diverse sounds and explore various possibilities, whether he’s performing solo or as a part of different ensembles .
