In the 6th grade I downloaded Audacity, grabbed my PlayStation 2 "Rockband" microphone and started splicing sketchy (and probably illegal) stems from Limewire - I was determined to escape from my inner problems and predicaments. When I last left rehab 3 years ago, I made it a goal to release my work. I had (and still have) a lot of pain from my past that I needed to get out but I didn’t necessarily know how to express with words, music changed that for me. It’s the absolute escape for my constant running mind and anxious thoughts. The best feeling in the world is when I can relay my emotions into rhythms & melodies, it’s like I’m finding a purpose for them. I work everyday perfecting this outlet that I’ve found and I do it for myself because it’s the closest thing to peace I’ve ever tasted. 🤘 -Josh
