Bassment

Born in 1992 in the city of Porto (Portugal), José Miguel Silva is DJ and producer Bassment. In 2009 he started to buy his first vinyls, months before having turntables. Short after, he makes his debut with local promoters and in 2010 is referenced as an upcoming DJ talent by 105 Agency. Experience behind the decks led to a natural transition and the start of his own productions, progressively transforming his basement into a true production studio. 

In 2013 he started to promote his first projects and wins the first ever Sample Genie (Bristol) competition. In 2013, Bassment co-founded Counterpoint Recordings and started releasing music with worldwide record labels, signing music on Audio Theory, Beat Spectrum, Citrus, Counterpoint, Delta9, Fokuz, I.D. Bogotá, Kulture Klash, Peer Pressure, Promo Audio and True Box.
