Basti Woods

Basti Woods is born in a very musical family. So it was no coincidence he was gettin the musicality of his father, uncles and grandfathers.

He began as a 8 year old with the guitar, after a few years he knew that was not for him and got interrested in the keys. At age 9/10 he got his first keyboard and fell in love.
However Basti also learned himself to play the saxophone, drums and percussion.
When he got into Highschool he discovered his voice.

In 2002 Basti tried to see how far he could get with his singing. So he intended a singing competition called IDOLS. He was lucky to end with the final 30 contestants.
After that Basti got noticed and had the opportunity to record some singles in Belgium and the netherlands and performed in a several dance acts and solo.

In 2008 hell broke loose....

Basti got his first No1. single in England, Scotland and Ireland and top 3 hits in the rest of the world! All thanks to a dutch Dj called Mental Theo He met in 2006.

The hitsingle is called NOW YOU'RE GONE- BASSHUNTER ft. MENTAL THEO"S BAZZHEADZ
and went skyhigh in 2008. After that Basti focused more on writing and is now working on different projects where he write and record his vocals.
