Batuhan Aydın

Batuhan Aydın is a pioneering kaval player and composer based in Istanbul. Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in contemporary kaval playing, he has redefined the instrument’s role in both traditional and modern music. Deeply rooted in the folk traditions of Anatolia and the Balkans, his work blends traditional kaval techniques with jazz, folk, and experimental improvisation.
