BAWS

BAWS was born in Sweden in 1991 to Iraqi parents and grew up in an area known to be a
ghetto in Sweden. When he was 13 years old, his parents moved back to Iraq where he
spent most of his childhood. Before he turned 18, he moved back to Sweden by himself.
He then ended up on the street and it shaped his life where music and rap battling become a
way to escape the hard life on the streets. After being a seeker for a few years, Iraq was hit
by ISIS and he then decided to go back and fight against evil. During this period, music was
an important part of his life to cope with everyday life.
He lost many close friends during the war and Yitame is about this period when he lost his
best friend and cousin Adnan.
This was the point when he decided to take control of his life when he came home to
Sweden. All said and done, he started writing in Swedish and released several songs that
received a lot of attention with attention of national tv and radio covering his music. During
one session he tried to do the same thing in Iraqi with the song DIGIDAM and that was the start of BAWS.
The next song ASHTAQ is about his 3 children and the battle a father is facing in modern
world. The song is produced by FI:VO Platium winning producer.
