Deriving from the 89 blocks of East St. Louis, IL on August 13th - Deavis Johnson was born and began his journey to birth the lyricist and athletic prodigy - now known as Bay-G. The anomaly -Deavis possess athletic abilities that afforded him scholarships and success within athletic spaces. These gifts positioned him in arenas filled with thousands of fans anticipating to see him take his team to the next level -not knowing at the age of 19 this was preparing him for his next stage in life.

Bay-G is a hip-hop artist, writer, producer, and trap curator. He grew up with a mom that was heavily involved in music -with brothers that immersed themselves in the influential sounds with the likes of (2Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Boosie) -which gave Bay-G a master-class in hip-hop. Transitioning from college basketball to a professional lyricist and writer he joined NBE (No Brainer Entertainment) where his career catapulted into hyperdrive. It was here he was able to collaborate with Boosie who is featured on his newly released single “Stake Out,” which followed the release of “Candle Lit” with NBE label-mate Young Hang.
