Muhammad Huzaifah Bin Arip is the real name of Bayu, but people call him Zai Bayu.
The 31 year-old independent singer, songwriter and producer Bayu born and grew up in a tiny town in the Malaysian part of Borneo, Kinabatangan.

He has traveled around India, Vietnam, Philippines and Cambodia with his music and learnt a variety of music from these countries.
