Be Like Butter is a London born producer and DJ based in Bristol, UK.
With British and Turkish descent, his upbringing in North London had him surrounded by music from around the world.
In 2019 he began his producer journey debuting “A-side” on Strictly Rhythm, alongside good friend and co producer Enzo Siffredi.
The two collaborated again, releasing ‘Ode to Omar’ on Wired which reached a top 10 in melodic house on Beatport, with Radio 1 Support from Haai and Rinse FM.
Other support for his releases since include Radio 1, Kiss fm and BBC introducing.
The following two years would see more afro house, disco house, tech house and techno releases on Wired, Below The Belt, Don’t Just, Hardcore Energy and Selectro.
After a 4 year hiatus, Be Like Butter has returned in 2025 with a string of self-released tracks, the first of which, ‘Sukari’, was immediately supported by BBC Introducing and prompted a guest mix slot 2 weeks later on the show.
His music is best described as house based, percussion filled with afro and middle eastern influences, often with rhythmic moving synths supported by powerful low end bass and timbre.
