BEECH is the music outlet of Belgian artist/multi-instrumentalist Kristof Souvagie. Souvagie is a child of the 1990s. The sound of bands like Nada Surf, Yo la Tengo and Pavement permanently nestled in his inner ear, and you can hear it in his music: Souvagie writes layered, melancholic guitar pop songs that love to linger.
In February 2024, BEECH returns with the EP Back In December. Themes of the EP are love, friendship and breaking out of the everyday grind. Souvagie wrote and played (almost) all the parts himself, with catchy extra guitar parts by Jan Marcoen (The Leslies, Whisper Party).
Back in December features four songs and will be released on February 2 via UhmYeahSure Records. The EP will be available digitally and on a limited colored cassette run. A series of performances (with full band) to celebrate the EP's release will be announced soon.
