BEEJAY

Samuel Olaniyi, known professionally as BEEJAY, is a Nigerian-born singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2019 after releasing "Chokomilo."

He is known for his versatility, proficiency, and artistry over a wide range of music styles and genres. BEEJAY has collaborated with several record producers, including Niphkeys, FreshVDM, Killertunes and Thisizlondon .

BEEJAY was born in a music-loving family, which stirred up his interest in music. Growing up, he was inspired by the likes of Fela Kuti,King Sunny Ade,2Baba and Adekunle Gold . Following his growing desire to make music, Beejay set out to make music. He started singing and recording songs at a tender age.

In a recent interview with a media outlet, BEEJAY recalls:
"In 2003, I was selected with other kids to record a jingle by an entertainment figure. I had never heard my voice through a microphone before, and that one was placed too high. Instead of giving up like the others, I remember stretching to reach the mic and adjusting it carefully. When I heard my voice, I felt pure joy in my heart, and I treasured that moment."

BEEJAY is a fast-rising music artist with a track record of making grooving songs. His music, which is gradually reaching several communities, aims to bring joy and vibe to the listeners.
