As much as music moves us physically, it also lifts our spirits emotionally. Beet (Pronounced ‘Bet’) Acosta speaks to the body, mind, and soul via his music. The Maracaibo-born and Orlando-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer presents a vibrant and vital vision for Latin music underlined by elements of Venezuelan Cuatro and reggaeton. The award-winning phenomenon forges a deep connection with listeners on a series of upcoming releases.
Growing up in Venezuela, the magic of Maracaibo surrounded Beet Acosta throughout his childhood as he absorbed the warmth and energy of his hometown. “It’s the kind of place where you’ll see another person in an elevator and start talking and joking,” he says. “There’s a lot of love in Maracaibo. We’re all family.”
During his time in college, he co-founded the popular Venezuelan duo Caibo. The group achieved national renown, catapulting to #1 on the radio and garnering Venezuelan music awards. They also gained traction with the likes of “Te Llevo Mi Corazon,” and international hit “La Promesa,” which generated millions of global streams. In 2018 the group amicably parted ways as Beet Acosta launched his solo career. Singles such as “Rosas,” “Gozaera,” and “Peshosha” [with Rafael “Pollo” Brito] reacted with audiences. Recently, he caught the attention of Saban Music Latin and inked a deal with the label in 2023.
