Originally an acoustic duo formed in 1997, Portuguese doom and gloom metal outfit Before the Rain eventually fleshed out its roster to a five piece, and released their first demo, ...And With the Day Dying Light, in December of 2001. The line up of Before the Rain would go through a great many changes before it secured an official release for its work, with founders Carlos D'Agua and Valter Cunha seeing bassists, guitarists and drummers rotate through until settling -- somewhat -- in 2008. The band signed with Major Label Industries in 2007, and released their first album, ...One Day Less later that year.
