Begüm Tarako

Born in Istanbul, Begüm Tarako grew up surrounded by music from an early age. Beginning her journey with classical guitar training and later expanding her expertise through graduate studies in sound technologies, she has crafted a unique musical identity where classical melodies intertwine with electronic textures and experimental sound design.

She gained recognition with her debut album “Aklımın Oyunları” in 2012, followed by the conceptual project “7” in 2015, marking a shift toward an interdisciplinary approach to music and storytelling. Her subsequent singles “İrin”, “Dem”, “Alaca” further expanded her sonic universe, while her 2022 modern interpretation of “Yaşa Sen De”, a classic from her father’s legendary band Beyaz Kelebekler, earned critical acclaim.

In 2024, Tarako released “Nüve”, a Dolby Atmos–mastered single that reflects her forward-thinking vision for immersive audio and 3D sound production. Collaborations with renowned artists such as İlke Hatipoğlu, Ferman Akgül, and Burak Irmak have added new dimensions to her evolving sound.
