Based in Hervey Bay in Queensland Australia, Behind the Beach House is mainly a project band consisting of Gavin Acworth, and newest member BT (Brett Turner), along with a mishmash of ex-band members and talented muso friends. After a long hiatus, we have returned to the studio with a new sound and a heap of awesome new original songs. Our music is inspired by the bands that we grew up listening to on the radio, along with the now defunct, rich Aussie pub-rock culture that was once so prevalent. Our lyrics reflect universally human themes of love, loss, despair, and joy. Add to the mix some punchy guitar riffs and slamming drum beats, and you have Behind the Beach House. We hope you enjoy.
