Bel Plaine

With a name referring to open spaces and endless promises, their musical quest already sounds like an odyssey. This French duo and their candid yet adventurous state of mind take you back to both classy pop and smart folk music through rallying and intimate songs.Their music’s raison d’être lies in "the willingness to tell stories, touch people and create emotions – the true songwriting fantasy", all with an elegant and marked spontaneity. In February 2013, the duo released their first EP, "Present", setting the foundations of their musical universe. And, while performing their first gigs, they also received the Paris Jeunes Talents 2013 (Paris Youth Talents) award.
Since then, BEL PLAINE has been going from one stage to another until they eventually recorded their first album in 2015, produced by Julien Delfaud who has worked in collaboration with Phoenix since their creation.
From contemplative to bucolic and emotional, there are plenty of words that can describe the duo’s expansive, roller-coaster repertoire. BEL PLAINE boldly achieves the amazing feat of making this horizon their own land, a land covered with fertile ground under a starry, heavenly vault.
