She learned music a child, listening to her dad sing and play guitar and watching her mom collect records. For several years she was self-taught, playing and singing by ear at home. At 16 years of age she received my first piano lesson when admitted to study at the National Conservatory of Ecuador, for 3 years.
Years later and through a scholarship, she graduated with a BA in Contemporary Music with honors. She is a first generation college and graduate student. Later on, she decided to pursue my passion for writing music in songs and scores.
Later, she went Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain with a scholarship. She had the opportunity to study with composer Lucio Godoy and earned a master's in Film Scoring. In June of 2015 I wrote “Ugly Duckling”, which was performed by a 50 piece orchestra, at Abbey Road Studios, London.
She's now based in LA, where she continues to write music. She sings and writes songs in English, Spanish and Portuguese. “Don’t Show You Cried” earned her the award for the Best Song for an International Short, by the Garden State Film Fest in 2017. In May 2018 I released my first single "Lágrimas de Abril", an Ecuadorian "pasillo" written in honor of the victims of earthquake that attacked Ecuador in 2016. This song brought a few awards and nominations including the HMMA in Hollywood, CA.
