Belle Envie is a new indie electronic project from Canadian artist Gordon Huntley, hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
After spending the last 10 years touring and producing as a part of an electronic dance DJ duo, Gordon has rediscovered his early musical roots. As a teenager, Gordon played in bands in his hometown, while learning how to produce ambient and IDM music. It was after moving to Montreal where he discovered club dance music and began to focus on electronic music for the dance floor.
Belle Envie means “Beautiful Desire”. The project comes as result of Gordon’s years of exposure to different corners of the electronic music world, with a a full-circle return to the music of his youth.
Fans of Radiohead, Slowdive, M83, or Washed Out won’t be disappointed.
