Ben Eales is a 22 year-old singer-songwriter from Edinburgh. He mainly resides within pop, with his newest album Do Me Dirty taking flavours from fellow artists like <a href="spotify:artist:2jw70GZXlAI8QzWeY2bgRc" data-name="Nelly Furtado">Nelly Furtado</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:45dkTj5sMRSjrmBSBeiHym" data-name="Tate McRae">Tate McRae</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5Y5TRrQiqgUO4S36tzjIRZ" data-name="Timbaland">Timbaland</a>. Exploring pop whilst adding other inflections from a variety of genres, he likes to view what he makes as ‘versatile pop’. His work takes on a variety of textures and topics, looking through his lens to explore identity, sexuality, abuse, desire and many more, unafraid to be open and authentic through a channel of chords and melodies that tell his story. His latest work aims to destigmatise taboo yet vital topics within the queer community through normalised pop conventions.
