Over the last few years Ben Glass has worked on a series of EPs. <a href="spotify:album:59LS1qFWG08b4X2CTzDouT" data-name="The Roundabouts">The Roundabouts</a> EP was recorded in a Travelodge using a broken casiotone, a selection of effects pedals, and a broken laptop. The <a href="spotify:album:4H2eMyFTHfe8Cly9kMZC6c" data-name="Yellow Phonons">Yellow Phonons</a> EP was computer music made from cut up sound samples, creating shiny almost dance. The <a href="spotify:album:1uKgtRMburyO8HAesifB5F" data-name="Blue Phonons (Expanded)">Blue Phonons (Expanded)</a> EP mixed cut ups, found sound, analog electronics and downbeat melodies.
The <a href="spotify:album:6WQJ77uXfAtR1hLxL1EmeG" data-name="Red Phonons">Red Phonons</a> EP was recorded in winter 2019/2020 and mixing was finished during the 2020 lockdown. Using synths, drum machines, guitars and effects, recordings were made as live and loud as possible, then edited into completed tracks.
Ben Glass founded Electric Sound in 2010 to stage live events and release music by himself and likeminded others. He has made a number of remixes for other artists including now, <a href="spotify:artist:4inURi3Gpg6uGL0rX3VOUS" data-name="WeirdGear">WeirdGear</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3kFzZWsA3vnsqBOSrcYEmb" data-name="Cloud & Owl">Cloud & Owl</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1goerABWhGQPWKhMCZeJ68" data-name="Tim Burgess">Tim Burgess</a>, and in 2018 completed the collaborative album <a href="spotify:album:2yx6ufBkf5SAlB9rBNOjUn" data-name="Ben Glas vs Ben Glass">Ben Glas vs Ben Glass</a>, working with American sound artist <a href="spotify:artist:4ElosgMRxzNRNBWDHPYlc0" data-name="Ben Glas">Ben Glas</a> to create experimental interpretations of each other’s work.
