Ben Zimmermann is a German composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his dynamic approach to game music and orchestral arrangements. He began composing at age 13, with his first original soundtrack written for the game BlobCat (<a href="spotify:album:7G1q4TVfVPTImGjLySiC0p" data-name="BlobCat Tunes! DX (Original Soundtrack)">BlobCat Tunes! DX (Original Soundtrack)</a>.
His (<a href="spotify:album:4otXXuh0lfJ7NWo9mwDULi" data-name="Donkey Kong Country 2 Symphony">Donkey Kong Country 2 Symphony</a>, released in 2020, has since become his most streamed and celebrated work, breathing new life into the iconic 1995 soundtrack through rich, modern orchestration.
In 2023, Ben founded <a href="spotify:artist:3f1RsDWyMEisUumQWO0V27" data-name="JiggyTones">JiggyTones</a>, a live band dedicated to performing video game music on stage. <a href="spotify:artist:3f1RsDWyMEisUumQWO0V27" data-name="JiggyTones">JiggyTones</a> has appeared at major gaming conventions and collaborated with legendary composers including <a href="spotify:artist:5xL16b9rHJ6HRVmaBTkvnk" data-name="David Wise">David Wise</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:21Uejbf0dmBe3tEOUhWWt0" data-name="David Arkenstone">David Arkenstone</a>, further establishing Ben in the game music community.
Ben’s recent work includes composing the soundtrack for Super Chipflake Ü (releasing this year), as well as creating jingles and background music for German content creators such as FireBro and SambZockt. He also released <a href="spotify:album:7CKRhshvMiltILsxgsWDNU" data-name="The Legend of Zelda: Orchestrated">The Legend of Zelda: Orchestrated</a> a Silent Hill 2 Orchestra EP (<a href="spotify:album:6EdJtZlGoXcvjzI4zf1lSt" data-name="SILENT HILL 2">SILENT HILL 2</a> , and contributed symphonic arrangements for the German metal band <a href="spotify:artist:6phZiFWdwBI8zxhIL6mDvw" data-name="Caught In A Mirror">Caught In A Mirror</a>.
