The debut album from Detroit’s Bend is a genre-bending, loud, fuzzy, swirly, and beautiful guitar-driven soundscape with echoes of rock and pop sensibility. Written in the Autumn of 2021 and recorded in the following Winter, Deplete marks a distinct stylistic departure for the band’s three members and their previous musical endeavors. While traces of earlier projects are present in Bend, the band draws on sounds from the independent music scenes of the United Kingdom and the United States in the ’80s and ’90s. Deplete, the debut full-length was released on April 15th, 2022.
