Founded in 2023 by childhood friends in Seattle, lead vocalist and guitarist Daniel Caldera and drummer Emilio Biggs (formerly of <a href="spotify:artist:2z4O2CelU2CDikIpNSdVkx" data-name="Metrofugitive">Metrofugitive</a>) formed BEND. An alternative rock band that brings old sounds to the new era of rock. After releasing their first single “(your) eyes” in 2024 they met bassist Luke Jacobson (<a href="spotify:artist:3ndnB4QHxPp6vUaXhtNp61" data-name="Luke Jacobson">Luke Jacobson</a>) at an improv jazz bar and the trio was set for the remainder of the year. Inspired by bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:6sM2JCBjZprP7JLMTZZSxX" data-name="Hum">Hum</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6Ghvu1VvMGScGpOUJBAHNH" data-name="Deftones">Deftones</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6olE6TJLqED3rqDCT0FyPh" data-name="Nirvana">Nirvana</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:40Yq4vzPs9VNUrIBG5Jr2i" data-name="The Smashing Pumpkins">The Smashing Pumpkins</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2DaxqgrOhkeH0fpeiQq2f4" data-name="Oasis">Oasis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3G3Gdm0ZRAOxLrbyjfhii5" data-name="my bloody valentine">my bloody valentine</a> and many more they have a distinctly &#34;90s&#34; sound.

After Emilio Biggs’ departure at the end of 2024 the remaining pair were looking for a replacement. Daniel met drummer Abraham Martinez at a Valvoline as Abe was changing his oil, and after one rehearsal the remaining pair inducted him into the band as the new drummer.

Now the band is cooking up a new project...
