Benita Jones has been a background vocalist for CeCe Winans and was leading worship in the local church when she first surfaced on the national landscape (under the name of Benita Washington) as the winner of The Gospel Dream music competition in 2003. The following year, she recorded her debut album Hold On which reached the Billboard Top Ten Gospel Albums sales chart in 2004. Over the years, she’s enjoyed radio successes with the songs “Thank You,” “My Grace” and “The Word Remains.” She’s also been nominated for Soul Train Lady of Soul and Stellar Gospel Music Awards. After many years as the Minister of Music and Worship Leader at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Jones currently serves as an Associate Pastor at All Nations Worship Assembly in Atlanta, GA where she was formerly the Pastor of Worship. “I’ve dedicated my life to singing His praises,” Jones adds. “That’s the testament to my life. Over the course of my entire life, He has been there every step of the way.”
