Benjamin Bevan

Baritone Benjamin Bevan attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on a scholarship. He gave his first professional performance at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in the role of Henry Cuffe in <a href="spotify:artist:7MJ1pB5d6Vjmzep2zQlorn">Britten</a>'s Gloriana, and debuted at the Scottish Opera as Marcello in <a href="spotify:artist:0OzxPXyowUEQ532c9AmHUR">Puccini</a>'s La bohème. Among the other roles he has sung are Lescaut in <a href="spotify:artist:7xkiLJgEoKMVDgTh0s2Mqu">Henze</a>'s Boulevard Solitude, Roderick in <a href="spotify:artist:1TtuIOF1otliv3LtwXA9S8">Getty</a>'s Usher House, the Ferryman in <a href="spotify:artist:7MJ1pB5d6Vjmzep2zQlorn">Britten</a>'s Curlew River, and Count Almaviva in <a href="spotify:artist:4NJhFmfw43RLBLjQvxDuRS">Mozart</a>'s Le nozze di Figaro. As a concert artist, Bevan has sung with the Wroclaw Baroque, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the <a href="spotify:artist:5UMys4J8cnrIxYbTljgI8w">Bach Collegium Japan</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:7BFFr4BUABKAorAN43APPd">Royal Northern Sinfonia</a>, and the London Bach Society. He has recorded music by <a href="spotify:artist:1QL7yTHrdahRMpvNtn6rI2">Handel</a> for <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Signum+Classics%22">Signum Classics</a>.
