One of the most hard working and anthemic folk punk acts to come out of Australia, Benny Mayhem and the Benny Mayhem Band have covered a lot of ground, literally and figuratively.
Musically, they blend the roots of the folk punk genre (bands such as The Pogues and Flogging Molly) with an Australian element that has been compared in style to Paul Kelly and other storytellers. There is also no mistaking the Irish influence in his music, a big part of his musical background.
The latest album called 'Bootlegs' also enters the Grunge territory, with as many power anthems as there are acoustic journeys through the 15 songs.
