I grew up between town and the countryside of South East , England, always slightly torn between two different worlds - listening to a lot of music from the 60's and 70's, like Nick Drake, The Kinks, The Beatles.. When I was 19 I left on what would be a long adventure, and started writing music properly. I spent time in South Carolina and California, and while I was there I started to really be inspired by bands like Grateful Dead, CCR, Allman Brothers etc. Eventually I ended up living in Vancouver for 6 years, where I recorded my first EP, and founded my own music festival. Much of my first EP was written on the ocean, sailing across the Atlantic, and then the Pacific west coast of the Americas. My style is heavily influenced by my time in the Americas and the music from there, and it channels sentiments of home, travel, love, nostalgia, and the human experience.
