Releasing for more than a decade as Dark Sky, Matt Benyayer, a Central Saint Martins alumni and seasoned music producer and DJ has decided to embrace a solo journey under his own name. His upcoming music is an exploration of sounds tailored for club environments, drawing inspiration from his North African, French and Scottish heritage and the inescapable range of musical influences he absorbed as a teenager growing up in South London.
Years of unwavering dedication to consistently pushing the boundaries of electronic music have solidified his position in the London music community. Genre-blurring productions and high-energy DJ sets have propelled his distinctive sound across the globe, captivating audiences far and wide.
Matt’s artistic ingenuity and attention to detail has not only earned him a slew of impressive remix opportunities for the likes of The XX and Kelis but has also fueled creative collaborations with luminaries such as Afriquoi, Breach and the dancer Wennah Wilkers. Add to this his experience ratcheting up dance floors of some of the world’s finest locations such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, Concrete, Fabric, Glastonbury, Melt and Mutek, it should come as no surprise that Benyayer’s upcoming releases are being served with a healthy dose of anticipation.
