Bergur Anderson is an Icelandic visual artist, producer-composer and sound-maker based in Rotterdam. His practice combines and exists somewhere between music, performance art, world-making and concept-driven sound-work. Through various solo and collaborative projects he makes publications, performances and installations that reflect on his interests in polyphonic storytelling, orality and the transitory qualities of sound.
Unisong, his forthcoming release on Futura Resistenza, will be his fourth release with the label — among them being the previous LP Night Time Transmissions (2021) and come, Memory: fieldwork (2023), a collaborative cassette made with visual artist and partner Katrina Niebergal.
Next to his own practice, Bergur collaborates with artists who seek to expand the notion of sound in their practices — as a composer, recordist, sound designer, mixing engineer and performer.
