Bertie Anderson is an Australian R&B singer-songwriter, producer, and performer from Cairns, blending smooth 2000s-inspired vocals with modern influences from Afrobeat, hip-hop, reggae, and alternative R&B. Proudly of Torres Strait Islander descent, his artistry is deeply connected to culture, storytelling, and his musical upbringing as the son of renowned reggae artist Andrew Namok.
From an early age, Bertie was immersed in music and performance, writing songs, recording music, and producing beats by the age of 14. He also became recognised as one of the pioneers of premier hip-hop dance crew Three Six Five, developing the stage presence and performance style that would later shape his artistry.
Bertie gained national attention in 2019 after appearing on The Voice Australia Blind Auditions, introducing audiences to his soulful tone and contemporary R&B sound. Since then, he has continued evolving as both an artist and songwriter, creating music driven by emotional depth, layered metaphors, and infectious melodies.
Now based in Western Australia, Bertie continues expanding his artistry locally and internationally. In 2025, he participated in the Hitmakers Songwriting Retreat in Los Angeles, collaborating with world-class writers and producers while developing his upcoming projects, September 98 and Songs of Our Fathers.
