Bes Kept

Bes Kept, also known as Penderhughes, is a producer from downtown Toronto blending Hip Hop, Modern Funk/Boogie, and Soul/R&B with deep respect for the music that shaped him early on. Raised on his mother’s record collection, he absorbed legends like The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and Earth, Wind & Fire.

As a teenager, he was mentored by legendary Toronto DJ Son Of S.O.U.L, a pivotal influence in his development as a student of music and vinyl culture.
