Elliot McCabe grew up with a strong foundation of Soul and Rock music, thanks to his parents. At 15, he began his DJ career by studying music at Access to Music in York. He quickly secured his first residency at Moko in Harrogate after turning 18. In 2017, Elliot adopted the alias Bespoke, returning to his roots with a mix of Soul, funk, disco, and house. The Bespoke project quickly gained popularity both locally and nationally. Known for his dynamic performances, Bespoke crafts each set with unique flair, seamlessly blending various genres. Bespoke has played at venues like The Domino Club, The Wardrobe, Beaverworks, The Key Club ad Leeds University Student Union name a few. His musical journey was shaped during his time at Leeds Conservatoire, where he studied music production from 2016 to 2019. His growing catalog of tracks on SupaQween Records, run by Aaron Casserly Stewart and Larry Peace, has earned support from industry figures and BBC West Yorkshire, which has featured Bespoke multiple times on its Introducing show. Bespoke also founded Right On, an event series focused on soul music and vinyl DJing, showcasing rising talent from the North of England. Teaching is central to Elliot’s identity. He’s worked with organizations like Leeds Conservatoire, The Music Box, and Frenchwoods Festival in New York. Now, partnering with the Prince's Trust, Bespoke is on a mission to revolutionize music education with his own courses and school.
