Best Parts is the craft project of Hans Gruyaert (de portables, Dieter Von Deurne and the Politics), Stijn Anseel (Driver, Autopilot) and Lobke D'Hespeel (Loobke, Luster). The band is reinforced live by Tomas De Soete on drums. Best Parts songs are like a good broth: every ingredient is in its place and gives the whole the necessary depth. The self-titled Best Parts debut album was largely created in times of pandemic, remotely via a shared Dropbox. The songs are often the result of an auditory quest, puzzling with small musical building blocks. The lyrics sketch characters, landscapes, events, but with a murky edge.
