Beverly Girl

Widely respected in the world of Scandinavian electronic disco and soul, Beverly Girl shines as one of the brightest and funkiest stars to come out of the North.
Based in their hometown Helsinki, Finland, the glamorous trio has already in a few years established themselves in the forefront of the global modern funk scene. Their use of drum machines, synths, and powerhouse female vocals - courtesy of their lead singer Yohanna - have contributed to a compelling sound that has already drawn enthusiastic comparisons to the likes of Janet Jackson, The System, Kashif and The Brand New Heavies.
As an euphoric live act Beverly Girl has already captivated audiences in the United States, France, Norway, Sweden, and Estonia, having headlined major festivals such as LA's Modern Funk Fest, Flow Festival and various Pride Festivals throughout Scandinavia.
With many successful single releases under their belt, all of Beverly Girl's music has been under heavy rotation on national Finnish radio, Spotify charts and blogs all over the world. Their latest single, "Change Begins With You", was written together with David Frank - the other half of the legendary electro-funk pioneer group “The System”, and the hitmaker behind Christina Aguilera's iconic “Genie In A Bottle”.
Currently, the band is preparing a long-awaited album, which is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2019.
