Bezalel (Hebrew: בְּצַלְאֵל, Bəṣalʼēl) born Haim Isaac Bezalel Raviv in the city of Tiberias, at the foot of the world's famous lake, the Sea of Galilee. Youngest son of 12 brothers and sisters. At the age of 10, he joined the "Flowers of Jerusalem", a religious choir where he sang peace songs in Israel and France. At the age of 18, he was drafted by the IDF to 8200, an Israeli Intelligence Corps.
His song "Tunisia", an homage to his parents, has become the anthem of the Arab Spring gaining over 30 million views on digital platforms.
In the midst of a global crisis, Bezalel returns after 12 years of silence and offers through a song a reminder of a special power shared between human beings.
“DEFENDER” is written and composed by Bezalel and produced by Anton Hård af Segerstad, a Swedish producer who produced JoJo’s "Save My Soul", Loreen’s "Statements" and Måns Zelmerlöw’s "Heroes", the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
“Although I wrote the song over a year ago, it seems to me that it’s relevant now more than ever. The human race is now going through a Beret journey that aims to unite or break us. The song offers the more optimistic option, where we manage to overcome our differences and see what we share in common rather than what separates us.”
