Bhaskar Das is one of the finest bansuri players of the younger generation of Indian classical musicians. His journey in the world of music started at an early age, under the guidance of his father and guru, Pt. Gopal Das, one of the pioneers of Indian classical music on the clarinet. He was fortunate to receive his first flute lesson at the age of three years old from Pt. Bholanath Prasanna.
Bhaskar is an "A" grade artist by All India Radio & Door Darshan and an ICCR empanelled artist. He has received multiple awards, such as “Young Talent” Award by Allahabad Museum, President Award in the All India Radio Competition, Sangeet Natak Academy Music Competition, Sangeet Samiti Music Competition, Sahara International Music Competition, etc. He is also the recipient of a national scholarship offered by the Government of India, which allowed him to complete his Master’s degree from Banaras Hindu University with distinction.
Based in Mumbai, Bhaskar performs regularly on stage with well-known musicians and applies the essence of classical music in his various collaborations. He had the privilege of performing for an event hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the King Philippe of Belgium. Bhaskar’s international performances include concerts in in Switzerland, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, Romania, UK, Spain, Slovenia, Dubai, Thailand and South Africa.
